the team

not surprisingly, there are many who have contributed. come with me now as i introduce you to the towering talent that forms the backbone, inner thigh and fleshy dangly bits of fish on a stick. lets meet the team!

phil (the butcher of burnage)

bass, backing vocals, music, jams and other preserves

phil takes our tunes, rips them to pieces and puts them back together again. if a tune stops, then you can usually be sure that phil put the stop there. apparently this is called arranging the tunes. whatever it is, he's still the butcher of burnage to us.

adam (slow-hand)

lead guitar, music, salads

adam is the icing on our musical cake, the cherry on the bun, the carefully embroidered lacey thing that lies over the arms of your grandma's couch. for all that, his contributions are still essential.

steaming p

drums, backing vocals, music, liveners

you can always count on paul to drive any tune forward, and his high backing vocals give the vocal output of the band a fuller sound. take a look at the man and then imagine him in a church choir with all the religious gear on. hmmm.

mike

guitar, lead vocals, words, music, hair care products

when i first wrote this section i deliberately insulted the other members of the band and praised myself to the skies in a failed attempt at self parody. however the other guys thought it was too 'in-jokey', so all i can say is that my contribution is the words that we sing, and of that i am extremely proud, so there.

andy and others

joolz  (seated) explains to andy and dave that this kind of visual blurring always occurs when she takes it to warp factor 7 or above

andy has transformed our live sound and knows more about buttons and 'lectrics than any one human has a right to.

joolz has recorded the first half of an album in her superb analogue studio in sale, manchester.

al has helped by playing the bass and writing so much stuff and then buggering off to live his life in a chilled out way

simon has helped by being the most creative man we know, and playing the bass

dave has helped us by being extremely positive at our recordings and plays keyboards on this version of hold the ground (click to download).

gareth has played bass and made massive musical contributions to three of our songs

matt has helped by coming to almost all our gigs and appreciating what we do and making us feel nice.

jon has helped by coming to almost all our gigs and shouting "do blind!" and being honest about our efforts

jenny has helped by turning my label back in, and sorting paul out

helen has helped by allowing us to ruin her wednesday nights by rehearsing in our front room and being without doubt the loveliest person i have ever met in my life
